The choice of virtualization technologies (Vagrant, VirtualBox, VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM ...) is free, however in Windows 10, only Hyper-V can be used after installing Docker Desktop. Virtual machines should be configured so that they can communicate with Docker and have access to the Internet. For this purpose, it is best to create an additional network interface that has access to a computer network and assign to it and machines static IP: VirtualBox, Hyper-V

Hardware requirements

  • Min. 8 GB RAM; recommended 16 GB
  • 10 GB disk space (on Linux itself)
  • 50 GB (Linux and Windows)
